About

The Story of Becoming HER

The Story of Becoming HER was inspired by my journey of finding my inner HER (inner self) and created to highlight and share the stage with others who have found their inner selves with God.  At this event, we will welcome speakers and listen to their testimonies of how they overcame divorce, abuse, trauma, identity crisis, mistakes in ministry, and more. It is a safe space that is intended to bring awareness and healing to others who may have dealt with or are dealing with similar experiences.

The goal of this movement is to show each other that no matter what we’ve gone through, with God, we can rise up and LIVE! We want to speak to that person who’s fighting depression, rejection, lust, self-esteem, and self-sabotage. We want to speak to those who feel like a failure and those who condemn themselves for their past. We’re here to be vessels of love, compassion, and understanding.

In this space we stand together against any and everything negative that needs to be broken over your life. We stand together to address what the enemy tried to destroy and turn it into godly victory. We’re here to encourage you and support you as you become who God has destined you to be!

The Story of Becoming HER will embody the essence of empowerment and teach us that we’re all redeemable and that choosing God can lead to healing, spiritual and personal growth, and profound change. This will be a time of transparency, intercession, teaching moments, and most importantly, deliverance! We want you to leave feeling renewed, restored, and ready to keep on living, believing that your story hasn’t ended, but it’s only just begun!

Sharicka G. Josaphat, also known as Tika J, is a Haitian-American worship leader, singer-songwriter, mentor, youth leader, and Minister of Music with a heart dedicated to serving the Kingdom of God. With over 15 years of ministry experience, Sharicka has poured her heart and soul into her calling, infusing it with renewed purpose and vitality, especially during its rebranding in 2018. Her ministry is a reflection of creativity, inclusivity, and love, where she encourages others to embrace their identity in Christ and find strength in the power of worship.

Sharicka's life story is one of triumph, resilience, and unwavering faith.

From a young age, Sharicka struggled with self-esteem and self-worth, which led her to seek validation in unhealthy ways. Her desire to "fit in" often affected her relationships and connections, leaving her vulnerable to emotional struggles and doubts. Facing a divorce before the age of 30, while caring for two small children, was a pivotal moment in Sharicka's life. The end of her marriage forced her to confront the reality of shifting her focus from her relationship and family life to God and herself. This transition was not easy, as she had spent years prioritizing the needs of others. She embarked on this journey of HER, physically, spiritually. and emotionally, allowing herself the time and space to heal. Through this process, she found peace and a renewed sense of purpose.

Her story serves as a powerful reminder that even in the most difficult seasons, there is hope for transformation. By embracing the shift and prioritizing her well-being, Sharicka emerged stronger, more confident, and ready to impact the world around her.
